Twenty one year old Ben Troy hails from Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. With exceptional talent and a passion for music, success was imminent.
Multi-instrumentalist Troy displayed a love for music from the age of three. He developed an ear for music and a knack for performing early on, winning two Ulster Championships and two All Ireland Championship medals playing traditional Irish music. Troy took to the big stage for the first time, at just eleven years old, singing with his father in a duo. Four years later, and after developing his craft as a performer, Ben decided to go out on his own and make a name for himself on the Irish music scene.
Over the past few years, Troy has performed on numerous television shows in Ireland including The Ray D’Arcy Show and The Late Late Show. He performed at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and took down the house at the C2C Festival in the 3Arena, Dublin. His current count for music awards is 15, and he is determined to add to that collection in the future.
Ben has a wide and varied love for music, sighting The Eagles, Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley and The Beatles among his musical influences. Inspired by these artists, Ben expresses himself through his own style of music, standing out from the crowd.
